There have been many legendary rock guitars that have been put up for auction that made buyers head spin at how much they sold for, and now David Gilmour can be added to the list. Gilmour’s famous black Fender Strat that’s been a part of many of Pink Floyd’s greatest hits is now the highest-priced guitar in history after selling for $14.5 million at auction!
Gilmour’s strat now joins the ranks of Kurt Cobain’s Martin D-18E, which sold for $6 Million in 2020, Jerry Garcia’s Tiger which went for $11.5 million, and Eric Clapton’s Gibson SG, known as The Fool, that he used in his Cream days, went for $3 million.
