Believe it or not way back in 1980 Ozzy Osbourne’s classic "Crazy Train" never made it on to the Billboard top 100. Back then the song only rose to No. 108, probably because of lack of radio airplay in those days.
Well, now "Crazy Train" has soared to No. 47 on that chart as the outpour of love towards The Prince Of Darkness has soared, following his death last week. As the days go on it’s likely that more of his music will start to make a climb, but it remains to be seen if there will be any new music coming from the Osbournes. Ozzy himself did state that he was working on new music in the studio before the big Black Sabbath farewell concert, whether any of it was finished and will see the light of day is up in the air at the moment.
"Crazy Train" was the lead single from Osbourne's solo debut Blizzard of Ozz, and did manage to chart at No. 9 on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, as it also was a Top 50 hit in the U.K. He didn’t hit the U.S. chart as a solo act, until "Shot in the Dark" which reached No. 68.
