Today we celebrate National Dog Rescue Day!
Today we recognize the dogs available to adopt, as the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, report that 3.3 million dogs enter shelters every year. These abandoned and abused animals, need a home after overcoming extreme obstacles.
Rescue dogs have been trained, as they contribute to people with disabilities as service animals and give comfort to the elderly. Rescue dogs provide therapeutic benefits, with children, teens, and adults with autism who benefit from their services, as emotional support companions, to relieve anxiety, depression, and PTSD.
Rescue dogs are dogs ready to be a companion the moment you walk through the door, so if you have space in your life to share life with a friend, then head to your local animal shelter and make a new friend for life!
