The Song That made Slade Timeless

In 1973, English Glam Rock Band Slade, hit #1 with "Cum On Feel the Noize"!

The song was written by lead vocalist Noddy Holder and bassist Jim Lea, and reached No. 1 in the UK Singles Chart, giving the band their fourth number one, amidst a twelve week run.

10 years later Quiet Riot would record their version of the song, when producer Spencer Proffer needed a radio hit for the band. The song was a million-selling hit single, reaching No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 making Quiet Riot a worldwide sensation.

Even, BritPop gods, Oasis covered the song as a B-side on their 1996 hit single "Don't Look Back in Anger" and made it a staple of their show.
