Demolition on Sleep Train Arena, forever known in most of our hearts at ARCO Arena, began in July. The final portions of the structure finally came down on the final day of August 31st, taking with it over three decades of memories.
The land will be repurposed, with plans to construct a 13-story teaching hospital for California Northstate University, as well as residential and commercial uses, including a new school for the Natomas Unified School District.
