Imago Iter, A Tow-able Open-Layout Cabin

Things like tiny homes, shipping containers converted to houses and pimped out vans have all become highly popular, especially with younger generations. Now there's a Japanese company, Bess, that has launched a compact cabin-trailer that can tow behind your SUV or truck.

The cabin, dubbed the Imago Iter, is 21.3 sq ft and made from 70mm thick cedar wood and has two roofing options (cedar or plastic membrane). It is a simple design, four walls, each fitted with a window and a large sliding glass window (aka front door).

It retails for $30,000-$36,000 and weighs around 4,600 pounds, which allows you to load it up pretty substantially. However, there are no basic amenities, such as a kitchenette or toilet, so factor that in if you're interested in the tiny trailer.
