Governor Predicts Comeback In Hospitality and Leisure Industry

Governor Gavin Newsom say the state's hospitality and leisure industries are making a comeback.

The February jobs report shows 100,000 new positions added and Newsom says the industry hit hardest by the pandemic is "going to come roaring back." The state remains on track to fully reopen in mid-June, as long as vaccinations continue to rise, and cases continue to drop. Governor Newsom acknowledges that the new COVID mutation could prolong plans, as it is reportedly shown to be resistant to the current vaccines being administered across the country.

The governor is reportedly confident that if all safety guidelines are followed per usual with social distancing, California should not have an issue remaining on reopening schedule.
