The Red Hot Chili Peppers announce a world tour in a bizarre video

Red Hot Chili Peppers have used a bizarre video to announce that they're doing a stadium tour in 2022.

The video is a fake newscast from K-HOT, where where co-anchors Johnson Hammerswaddle (Anthony Kiedis) and Todd the Squirrel (Flea) give the tour news, along with some outrageous headlines about how “half of humanity will boil alive by next Thursday, and there’s a new chicken sandwich coming out."

The weatherman in the newscast is Randy Raindrops (Chad Smith). John Frusciante is the only member to appear as himself, and he says that the trek will start in June with the U.S. leg kicking off in July.

The Chilis have been working on a new album since Frusciante rejoined in 2019. This will be the first tour he's done with the band in 15 years. Dates and ticket info will be announced soon.
