Carlos Santana has released his new song with singer Rob Thomas.

Carlos Santana has released his new song with Matchbox 20 singer Rob Thomas.

"Move" is the lead track off of Santana's new album, Blessings and Miracles, which will be released on October 15th.

Carlos says it came about much the same way as their first song, 1999's "Smooth."

“It was like divine intelligence behind the scenes, and I just knew I had to record it with Rob. The song is about awakening your molecules. Ignite and activate yourself -- you know, move. When Rob and I work together, we have a sound that’s splendiferous.”

As for the rest of the album, thee are 14 other songs with special guests such as Steve Winwood on a cover of Procol Harum's "A Whiter Shade of Pale," Metallica's Kirk Hammett on "America for Sale," Living Colour singer Corey Glover on "Peace Power," Chris Stapleton on "Joy," the late Chick Corea on "All Together," and Carlos's son Salvador Santana is featured on "Rumbalero."

Santana and Thomas will perform together this Saturday at the We Love NYC: The Homecoming Concert in New York's Central Park. It will be televised on CNN starting at 5 p.m. ET.
