Paratransit's Riding For Tidings Collects Warmth For Area Seniors

This holiday season, no one deserves to be left out in the cold. The radio stations of iHeartMedia Sacramento are banding together to invite you to make a donation to Paratransit's Riding for Tidings! Paratransit are collecting items now through November 30th to bring coziness and warmth into the homes of area seniors and others in need who are sheltering-in-place during COVID-19.

Their vans will be taking donations of new Mittens, scarves, blankets and sweaters in all adult sizes and passing them along in care baskets to area seniors and folks who can't leave their homes during the holidays and spreading the warmth.

Paratransit is passionately committed to making a difference in the lives of individuals with mobility challenges and they specialize in the field of social service transportation. Riding for Tiding was inspired by when they delivered meals through the Great Plates Delivered program which provides over 1,000 seniors in the Sacramento region with 3 meals a day! Through that effort, Paratransit saw firsthand the need to provide some cheer into what has been a very challenging year.

Anyone who would like to contribute can drop off new, adult sized items at Paratransit’s headquarters located at 2501 Florin Road in Sacramento, between the hours of 9 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday.
