Figuring out how much to pay the babysitter can be tricky business. You want to pay fairly, but if you start off too high at the beginning of the relationship there’s really no walking it back. Each year, babysitting network UrbanSitter releases a survey of average babysitting costs by major city. The national average for 2019 is $16.75 per hour for one child and $19.26 for two, up a bit from last year. But the rates vary widely, from as low as $11.63 for one kid in Las Vegas to $18.75 in San Francisco. Here's the Map
