Here in Californian, more than $9 billion in property/money remains unclaimed.
I looked up my name and Walla! Sure enough I have $16 and change to claim. Ok, not such a big payoff. Still, its my money. Its Lunch! Others have much larger lost money.

Go to the State Controller’s website at https://claimit.ca.gov and search. Its free to check, You will need to prove the money belongs to you.
