Heartless scammers are using the name of a fallen Sacramento County sheriff’s deputy to get unknowing victims to give up money. Callers are impersonating the family of Deputy Mark Stasyuk and asking for donations. Deputy Stasyuk was killed Monday afternoon during a shootout with a suspect near the Pep Boys auto shop at Folsom Boulevard and McGregor Drive. Stasyuk leaves behind a wife, mother, father and sister.
