AOL Is D.E.A.D

Call the time of death Dr. because AOL is finally dead. If you've been hanging on for years (why?) you'll now be without.

America Online (AOL) stopped it's dial up service for internet yesterday (9/30) marking the end of an era of 90's internet access. How will you ever wait 20 minutes now to find out the picture you were trying to download was a guy?

At one time AOL was the top dog with 20 million users, and also inspired movies like "You've Got Mail." But like anything, something new came out and after users slowly went away over the years because of faster internet with cable and dish, or even your phone. Their users just went bye bye.

USA Today noted “The hum and whir of a dial-up modem was how many people first connected to the internet.”

So did you hang on too long because you loved AOL/IM more than life itself? Well, guess you'll need to learn to text next lol.
