We're not asking you to share, but are you embarrassed by your "number?" It's the number of people who you will forever be tied to with a 'Special Connection' (I'm trying to keep it clean here, but you know what I'm talking about right? Good, then we'll continue.)
According to the survey, most people start to raise their eyebrows when someone says they’ve had more than 7 sexual partners. So the magic number is 7? Got it. So we'll call it the unofficial tipping point where people start thinking, “Whoa… that’s kinda high.” (some have a much higher number, so lets be real)
What people say vs what people mean.
- For people looking for a long-term relationship, anything above 7 to 10 partners starts to make them pause.
- Some judged the number even harder if it was reached too young.
- But, when it came to casual dating or hookups, many said they didn’t care at all… as long as you were honest about it.
But like we all know....NEVER SHARE YOUR NUMBER ON A FIRST DATE!! You're setting yourself up for something you might not be ready to talk about.
But the study did reveal exactly what you're thinking. DOUBLE STANDARD MUCH??
Men and women are judged differently for the same number.
- A guy with 10 or more partners? “Experienced.”
- A woman with 10 or more partners? “Promiscuous.”
- Insert massive eye roll here. Never fair, and everyone has a past. But some of us have higher milage than others. lol
So what do YOU think is “too many”? When should you share your number with someone? Your wedding day? Lets be real, most of us were plenty busy before we met someone, and everyone has their story and their feelings. Who are you to judge? So I would stay away from the "Number Game" and not even talk about it. Not worth the worry and fight IMO.
