Remembering Chris Cornell On His Birthday

Born on this day in 1964, Christopher John Cornell the American musician, singer, and songwriter. He was best known as the lead vocalist for Soundgarden and Audioslave, would have turned 57. Cornell was also known for his numerous solo works and soundtrack contributions, and as the founder and frontman for Temple of the Dog.

Sadly, we lost Chris in May of 2017 when he took his own life after a gig in Detroit. I had the pleasure of meeting Chris in 2009. As you could imagine he was very kind and soft spoken.

Today, in honor of his birthday, check out this just-released cover of the Guns N' Roses classic "Patience"
