Yesterday was a #Chewsday! We visited Sampino's Towne Foods on F & 16th Streets in Downtown Sac for some tasty Italian food!
When we pulled up, the smells were divine. And, when you step inside, it's nice and cozy. They offer a decent selection of lunch fair, sandwiches and salads, but also have a pretty awesome deli case with all sorts of things you can grab to go!
Here's what we ordered:
Dog & Joe both ordered the SAME thing! The Chicken Parmesan sandwich: breaded chicken breast, marinara sauce, provolone & cheddar cheese, tomato & balsamic vinaigrette on a ciabatta roll. And a deviled egg. (Joe, of course, ordered it without the produce and pulled the tomato off.)
Dana ordered the Sampino's Meatball sandwich: Sampino's homemade meatballs served with marinara sauce, provolone & cheddar cheese, shaved grana padano, garlic aioli, tomato and diced pepperoncini on a ciabatta roll. And a salmon cake & cannoli.
