I-5 Reopens After Being Closed In Both Directions Due To Fire

A fire that forced I-5 to be closed in both directions, has been contained.

The grass fire, which started around 12:30 p.m. near the Sacramento International Airport, had 100 firefighters at the scene at one point.

The fire started near Elverta and Power Line roads and burned 850 acres and damaged two buildings.

The airport was not impacted.
