Popular Snack Recalled In California Poses 'Life-Threatening' Health Risk

ZB Importing LLC recalled six varieties of Ulker Brand snack rolls, biscuits, and wafers" sold in California, on February 18th due to the undeclared presence of three common allergens.

According to the United States Food & Drug Administration, the recalled products, distributed to retail stores in 36 states, contain "undeclared wheat, egg and/or milk" which poses the risk of a "serious or life-threatening allergic reaction" to individuals allergic any of the three ingredients not listed on the product labels.

Consumers should avoid Ulker Brand snack rolls, biscuits, and wafers with UPC codes 8690766082307, 8690766086473, 8690504066828, 8690504114628, 8690504067979, and 8690504067986.

So far, there has been one complaint of an allergic reaction reported as a result of consuming the mislabeled Ulker Brand snack rolls, biscuits, and wafers. Officials are urging consumers who have already purchased a recalled roll, biscuit, or wafer to return the product to the place it was purchased for a full refund. Consumers are also being told to throw the item out if it is in their possession.
