Good news for all LEGO lovers and enjoyers of the iconic building bricks — Legoland California is set to debut its first-ever LEGO World Parade this week, taking over the theme park in Carlsbad on Friday (May 24).
The parade, which is the first of its kind in North America, will feature six floats and a host of entertainers singing and dancing. The parade will take place on various dates through Labor Day in September, starting about an hour before the park closes. A full list of dates can be found at the LEGO World Parade section of the Legoland California website.
The LEGO World Parade is part of the celebrations for the 25th birthday of the San Diego County park, per KEGT. Fire Chief Freya will lead the parade on a LEGO City Firetruck float, while Hopsy, the bright red LEGO DUPLO bunny, will bring up the rear on a LEGO DUPLO inspired float. Other characters will include a ninja on a LEGO NINJAGO Dragon float and a swashbuckling adventurer on a pirate ship float.
The parade will start in Fun Town, move down the hill past DUPLO Play Town, and enter The LEGO MOVIE WORLD for a grand finale. The parade is included with the Legoland ticket or pass.
