Sophia Cargill, a general manager in training at a Wendy's in Kalamazoo, MI, recently (two weeks ago) recorded her assistant manager going on a tirade and calling her a bitch.
She shared the video on her TikTok, which was re-posted by D.L. Hughley and went viral as a result. Sophia was originally suspended without pay, the manager was not. This is not the only incident with this particular manager.
As of yesterday, Wendy's fired the assistant manager and reinstated Sophia with back pay.
Their spokesperson released the following statement:
"We have no tolerance for harassment in the workplace. Upon learning of this situation, we acted immediately following our protocols and suspended those involved to run a thorough investigation."
