The 2021 Golden Globe nominations were announced on Wednesday (February 3) with some help from friendly faces.
Today helped kick off festivities when former champs Sarah Jessica Parker and Taraji P. Henson revealed the noms live on the morning show, while the first 12 categories were simulcast by E News. When it comes to this year's Cecil B. DeMille Award, the title is heading to Jane Fonda, who will follow in the ranks of previous honorees like Tom Hanks, Oprah Winfrey, Jeff Bridges and Meryl Streep.
As with most award shows, the Golden Globes were pushed back from the first Sunday of the calendar year to a later date due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, the affair will take place on February 28 at 8 PM ET at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California and air on NBC. The virtual event will be hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler from opposite sides of the country. While Fey will be live from the Rainbow Room atop Rockefeller Center in New York City, Poehler will continue duties from the Globes' usual location inside the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
