Rockefeller The Owl Found In Times Square Christmas Tree

The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree had a surprise guest this year:

This tiny little baby owl, found by by one of the employees transporting the tree to New York City.

He called his wife, put the baby owl in a box and headed home. His wife, in turn, called up the Ravensbeard Wildlife Center in Saugerties, New York to see if they could take the little hitch-hiker in for rehabilitation. The owl was taken to the center and come to find out, it isn't a baby, but just a tiny species known as the Saw-whet owl

His name is now "Rockefeller" and is doing well at Ravensbeard. If you'd like to help "Rockefeller" or any of the other wildlife at Ravensbeard, you can donate at ravensbeard.org
