One person is dead and another was injured after a crash early Wednesday morning in North Highlands.
The CHP says it all started with a traffic stop on Auburn Boulevard when the Audi driver fled.
A chase ensued and the Audi ended up hitting two other vehicles in the corner of Watt and Myrtle around 1:20 a.m. The vehicle flew 100 yards in the air, ejecting both driver and passenger in the Audi.
The passenger died, and the driver was taken to the hospital with major injuries.
No one else was hurt in the crash. The roads have reopened.
