Very sad to hear about the passing of soul legend Bill Withers today. SO many classic songs including "Ain't No Sunshine" and a song that has been getting a lot of playing with the COVID-19 pandemic - "Lean On Me". Something we all need to do right now (but not literally!).
“We are devastated by the loss of our beloved, devoted husband and father,” his family said in a released statement. “A solitary man with a heart driven to connect to the world at large, with his poetry and music, he spoke honestly to people and connected them to each other.”
He was a three time Grammy winner who incredibly walked away from the music business in 1985 after just eight albums. He will be missed.
