New Sacramento Watering Restrictions Have Been Announced

Sacramento residents will have to limit their outdoor watering beginning March 1.

The announcement that water restrictions will once again be enforced should come as no surprise to locals as similar guidelines have been imposed in most recent years due to the drought.

Everyone will only be allowed to water two days a week.

People with even-numbered addresses can water on Wednesdays and Sundays while those with odd-numbered addressed can water Tuesdays and Saturdays. The city is encouraging residents to water before 10 a.m. or after 7 p.m.

The rules listed above do not apply during heat waves - defined as two or more days in a row where the temperature is 100 degrees or over.

Restrictions are currently scheduled to end October 31.
