No surprise, but Van Halen sales have went through the roof after Eddie Van Halen's death.
According to a new report from Billboard magazine, album sales went up 6200 percent, with 40,000 albums sold on the day of his death. Normally, it would be about 1,000 copies a day.
The band also sold a lot of downloads of songs. Tuesday alone had 31,000 Van Halen classics sold. "Jump" was the number one selling songs at 3,000 copies, followed by "Panama," "Eruption," "Runnin' With the Devil," and "You Really Got Me" tied for second with 2,000 copies sold each, on the day of Eddie Van Halen's death.
That is likely to continue throughout the week and make a huge dent on the charts.
