UPDATE: Tuesday afternoon, thanks in part to citizen tips, police arrested Salvador Jimenez, 47, of Woodland in connection with the crimes, police Lt. Anthony Cucchi said.

Jimenez will be booked into Yolo County Jail for robbery.


A string of robberies in the Woodland area is being linked to one suspect. 

Police are asking for the public's help in finding a man said to have robbed six businesses since July 7.

The places the suspect targeted include a yogurt shop, a beauty supply store, a drive-in cleaners, and with the most recent robbery at a Jimboy's restaurant this past Saturday.

Police say in every robbery the suspect implies he has a gun concealed underneath his shirt.

He wears sunglasses, shorts and a baseball cap, oftentimes covering his mouth with a surgical mask or a grocery bag. 

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male between 30 and 40 years old, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8, with a medium build.
