The Sacramento Kings held a news conference to introduce Shaquille O'Neal as a minority owner of the Kings earlier today. At the news conference the ownership team explained what Shaq's role would be moving forward, and gave a few new details about the plans for the Downtown Arena project.

Dubbing Sacramento "Shaqramento -- the capital of California," Shaq expressed his excitement on taking on this challenge.

Shaq said he looked forward to taking on a mentoring role with DeMarcus Cousins. Shaq said when he sees Cousins he sees a young Shaquille O'Neal.

And the newest part-owner will put his initial focus on getting the Kings young center to become a leader.

"I've heard many of you guys say he's the most talented big-man in the game. So he doesn't need drills. I'm gonna teach him how to take it to the next level, and it starts with conversation," he said.

Shaq will also be active in the community.

"A lot of stuff I'm gonna be doing very loud. A lot of stuff I'm gonna be doing very, very silent," Shaq said.

Like a recent event where he taught his son it wasn't necessary to have TV cameras around when they were passing out school supplies and soda to children.
