It's a happy ending for a two-year-old Vallejo boy after surviving a scary fall into a creek.

Authorities say the child was fishing with his grandmother when he fell into the murky water Saturday afternoon near Fairgrounds Drive.

The horrified woman called 911 and a firefighter quickly recovered the child in a nearby drainage culvert and gave him CPR on the way to the hospital.

The victim was in the water for about 10 minutes and had been listed in critical condition, but is now expected to make a full recovery.
