A 15-year old boy is now in custody after an incident this morning at the Wal-Mart on Florin Road.
Sacramento County Sheriff's Sergeant Lisa Bowman says the boy was stopped just before 7:30 a.m. after leaving the store without paying for his items.
"When he was confronted by the security guard, he pulled out a small caliber hand gun, pointed it at the security guard and then fled on foot," Bowman said.
While he was able to catch a transit bus, deputies caught him after he was let off at 47th and Sampson.
He's being questioned and booked into juvenile hall.
