We are all obsessed with checking our phones -- and now there's some proof.

Locket, an app that pays people in exchange for posting ads on their smartphone screens, says its users unlock their phones an average of 110 times per day, with some people checking their devices 900 times from sun-up to sun-down.

Sound insane? Well, if you spread the 110 over 12 hours that's a look every six or seven minutes.

Add texts or time checks and maybe the number is even a bit low. Doctors have been reporting more cases of "text neck," pain from looking down all the time.
