Two State Senators want answers after the Employment Development Department was crippled by a computer glitch leaving hundreds of thousands without income.

Republicans Andy Vidak and Anthony Cannella are calling for a hearing to investigate the EDD following the glitch.  Vidak spokesperson Jann Taber said he was moved to action by his constituents,

"Senator Vidak represents a district with very high unemployment, and our capital and district office received several calls for help when their unemployment checks were delayed in September."

Senator Cannella, says the unemployed are the most vulnerable members of the community and to have seen their sole lifeline interrupted, they have a right to know what happened and what will be done to prevent it doesn't happen again.
