Mother Nature is also unleashing her fury on drought-stricken Southern California, which is experiencing mudslides.  Meteorologist Gary Best says the precipitation is coming in different forms.

"Some rain in lower elevations, heavy at times, and some snow in the higher elevations.  This is the last of the series of storm systems for a while though, it will quiet down late in the weekend and early next week," Best explained.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for the Sacramento Valley and foothills until 7:15 p.m Friday night.
