The investigation continues into a fire that damaged a life-size statue of former U.S. President Ronald Reagan in Temecula. Officials with the Friends of Ronald Reagan Sports Park found the statue blackened by a fire last Friday morning.

The case has been turned over to the Riverside County Fire Department over concerns that it was likely arson. Authorities say they don't know who started the blaze or why, but officials with the nonprofit group that runs the park call the vandalism an "insult" to President Reagan and the country.
