The online "Fan Hall of Fame" inducted its first class last year. Three more sports fans will be enshrined this December and former schoolteacher Barbara Rust is among the nominees.
Having been to every Kings home game since the team moved to town in 1985, Rust is in the running for induction into an institution for "The World's Greatest Sports Fans."
Kings President and CEO Chris Granger said "Sign Lady" has been the "heart 'n' soul" of the fan base since the team came to town in 1985,
"We're thrilled for her nominations and she certainly deserves any and all accolades she receives," Granger gushed.
Ten finalists will be announced on December 2nd, when public voting will begin to detemine this year's three inductees.
Meanwhile, Sacramento fans will try to break the world record for indoor crowd noice when the Kings host the Detroit Pistons Friday at Sleep Train Arena.
