The mother of a Temecula student is suing the school district, saying her son was used as "bait" for an on-campus drug sting.

The unidentified 14-year-old middle school student was allegedly recruited by an assistant principal to pose as "bait" in an on-campus sting operation over the objections of the student's family.

In her lawsuit, the woman says school officials' put her son in a dangerous position, and he has been threatened with violence after being labeled a "snitch" by classmates.

Temecula Valley Unified School District officials are already facing another lawsuit from the family of a learning disabled Chaparral High School student who was accused of selling marijuana on campus.
