The San Juan Unified School District will again offer free lunches to children this summer.

"There's no enrollment, no paperwork and no income requirement," Food Services Director Monique Stovall said.

Stovall says the meals will be served Monday through Thursday, and the district will include activities for the kids.

"This year, we're providing an art teacher and someone to teach the students ukulele. We also have hula-hoops and games," Stovall said.

Meals will be available at Coyle and Howe Avenue Elementaries; Carriage Drive Elementary; and at the district's "admissions and family services office" in Carmichael.

Parents can eat with their children for $3.
