A drive-by shooting outside a Halloween party in Sacramento has left one person dead and six others injured.

Police spokeswoman Michele Gigante said the early Sunday attack happened at the end of the party when people were walking out of a studio that was rented out for the event.
A man in his late 20s was pronounced dead at the scene, five others suffered gunshot wounds that were not life threatening, and a woman was hit by shrapnel.

Gigante said detectives were trying to figure out a motive. No suspect information was released.
