Nursing school graduates are finding it almost impossible to get a state required license because the the California Board of Registered Nursing has fallen months behind in the application approval process.

That's because their new online system called "Breeze" has glitches.

In fact, if you go online you'll read the message, "Due to circumstances beyond the control of the Board of Registered Nursing, we are experiencing some delays in processing applications."

CBS 13 in Sacramento reports the state knew last year there were troubles with the Breeze system before its launch.

This is coming at a time when, according to Health Care Atlas, Sacramento and other Central Valley counties are experiencing a nursing shortage.
