Sacramento County's Board of Supervisors is going to consider a new red light camera contract at today's meeting. The new deal could make it more likely you will get a ticket.

In a "Memorandum of Understanding" up for a vote at today's supervisors meeting there's a list of enforcement criteria for issuing tickets.

On that list is says that a traffic light has to have been red for a least 0.1 seconds before your car enters the intersection to make it a violation.

That's a change from 0.2 seconds used currently.

The proposed multi-year contract with Redflex Traffic Systems is being challenged by American Traffic Solutions saying their company is the better choice.

They point to a bribery incident in Chicago involving Redflex.

Redflex, who has the current contract, says they have cleaned house since then, and those responsible have been fired.
