SACRAMENTO -- A federal lawsuit against the Sacramento City Unified School District has been dismissed.

The suit, brought by a number of community members, including the political action group Hmong Innovating Politics, sought to stop the closure of seven under-enrolled schools.

A press release from the school district says the dismissal was agreed to by the the groups that filed the suit.

The district says it will return to focusing its attention and resources on their mission of preparing students for college and 21st century careers.
