A Superior Court Judge is going to hear again from both sides this afternoon in the proposal to build a new downtown arena.

The judge, who issued a tentative ruling Thursday, sided with the city in a lawsuit challenging the city's financing of the arena.

The judge said the lawsuit was premature because no final deal had been struck between the city and the Sacramento Kings.

That suit was filed by Sacramento attorneys Jeffrey Anderson and Patrick Soluri who say the city is hiding important details in the agreement, including a city subsidy they claim is bigger than the announced $258 million.

Their suit calls that an illegal giveaway of city funds.

A hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. today where each side will have 20 minutes to present their case before a final ruling is issued.
