The governor's mansion is about give visitors a new look -- at something pretty old.

The third floor of the historic house downtown has been completely renovated and is opening up to tourists for the very first time. It's exactly how things looked in the glory days of 1877. Wondering what that means?

"Wonderful color and paint designs on the walls and the ceilings. The ball room, the billiard room and the game room," Al Howenstien with the mansion foundation said.

Howenstien says they're also celebrating the installation of more than 100 new LED lights to show the place off after dark.

There's a party tonight and if you spring for tickets you'll see at least one special guest.

"The governor will be activating the switch that will turn on the lights and light up the night," Howenstien said.
