The governor and the president are both paying visits to Hollywood, and they're searching for money ahead of the contentious 2014 election season.

Governor Jerry Brown raised $2 million Thursday night at a fundraiser at the home of Disney chairman Alan Horn.

If you wanted to go, it could've you $5,000 to $27,000.

Among others representing the big studios, Media Mogul David Geffen, a champion of gay rights, was on hand. As was his Dreamworks Animation Studios business partners Steven Spielberg and Jeffery Katzenberg.

On Tuesday, the three will host President Barack Obama when he arrives for a tour of the Dreamworks Animation Studios and attend prerequiste fundraising for Democrat causes.

Obama's visit is part of a West Coast swing, he will be spending the weekend in Seattle raising money at events hosted by Microsoft Executives.
