In an effort to help you the cut through the online clutter of political commentary and differentiate between bloggers offering unbiased opinion and those being paid to post with campaign dollars, the California Fair Political Practices Commission is out with new rules. They now require campaigns to publicly report who is on the payroll.

This is not sitting well with some political consultants and bloggers who told the commissioners during yesterday's meeting that the vote will just create a regulatory roadblock to tweeting and other Internet postings and be unenforceable.
