Fire crews are battling a three-alarm building fire at 13th and F Streets.

Two Victorian-style residences that had been divided into apartments have been affected by the blaze, Sac City Fire Deputy Chief Niko King said.

The status of the fire was moved up to three-alarms as crews feared the fire would spread to surrounding buildings, King said.

Early word is that all residence were evacuated safely. Fifteen to 20 people have been displaced because of the fire.

F Street is completely blocked in the area, and drivers should look for alternate routes.

The fire is contained at this time, but King expects it to take at least another hour to put out.

This follows a restaurant fire on J Street earlier today.
