California Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones says he wants customers to be able to renew their cancelled plans but the decision's not entirely up to him.

It's actually up to Covered California,

"We have contracts with a significant share of the market.  Anthem Blue Shield, Kaiser," Jones said.

Eleven insurance agencies are included when all added together.

Officials with the exchange say they're still debating exactly what to do.

The cancellations we've seen to date are because of December 31st deadline built into contracts.

Some insurers are also complaining about the President's actions today, saying there will be a huge burden in notifying customers of changes in a very short amount of time.
