Eyes to the skies. The California Capital Airshow comes soaring back to Mather Airport this weekend with the Canadian Snowbirds as the event headliner. Our own military's jet teams have been grounded due to sequestration cuts and Airshow Director Darcy Brewer says we're lucky to have the Canadians, who fly nine bright red jets in formation. You can also expect wing walkers, aerobatic performances, the Red Bull Jump Team and a 65th anniversary tribute to the Berlin Airlift. Tickets in advance are $15 for adults and $7.50 for children 6-12. Tickets at the gate are $20 for adults; $10 for kids 6-12. Children 5 and under and active military members with an ID will get in for free.
