Amazon is revealing a new way for customers to get packages from the company -- by using drones.

Amazon Founder and CEO Jeff Bezos told CBS TV's "60 Minutes" on Sunday the company is working on using automated drones to deliver the tons of goods that customers order.

Bezos says the drones will drop the package -- with half-hour delivery times. Objects up to five pounds can be delivered using the drones.

Bezos emphasized that the drones would use GPS coordinates to find a specific location.

He added that the use of the drones for package deliveries could be just four to five years away.
